About the Show

The Gift of Art is a community minded art show and sale hosted by St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, located in historic Wayland Square on the Eastside of Providence. The show features a diverse selection of regional artists and mediums while reflecting St. Martin’s rich history of supporting the arts and their continued commitment to the community in and around Providence. Just in time for the holidays, this vibrant show is a must see for any and everyone who appreciates art or knows someone who does.

Friday Preview Party

The event kicks off on Friday night with a delightful ticketed Preview Party featuring 20 exceptional fine artists, fine food and refreshment. This is the ideal opportunity to take in the art, meet with the artists, and snap up your favorite pieces (sales start Friday night and items can move quickly!) all while enjoying the festive atmosphere of the evening.

Saturday General Admission

The show continues on Saturday and is open to the public from 10am to 4pm. From paintings and jewelry to fiber, ceramics and glass, this show has something for everyone. See what the local art scene has to offer in a relaxed and friendly setting. Concession stand to offer light fare. Admission is $5.

Artist Information

To be a part of this unique, new art show, artists are charged a booth fee of $100 and a 20% commission on items sold. This investment includes valuable exposure and:

The Gift of Art 2011 kicks off with a ticketed Preview Party on Friday, Nov. 18 from 7-9pm. The show is open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9am to 4pm.

Artists are expected to attend the Preview. Artists, or a substitute, are also asked to attend their booths on Saturday when the show and sale is open to the public. A food and beverage concession stand will operate with items for purchase. Artists are encouraged to offer works in a broad price range to ensure optimal sales.
